Does Penicillin effect NuvaRing?

I just had a baby 6 weeks ago so I'm very fertile right now and can't go by ovulation. I'm being very careful. I just had my first period since having my baby last Saturday (Jan 15th). I put in the NuvaRing the next day (Jan 16th). My period started to taper off a little right away. Then last Tuesday I had my wisdom teeth removed and started taking Penicillin. My period started to come back stronger and now it's still going. That makes me think that the Penicillin is canceling out the NuvaRing. So if the birth control isn't effective, how long after stopping the Penicillin will it become effective again? Will I have to take this ring out and wait until this period ends and another starts then get a new ring? Or once I stop the Penicillin will it become effective again? I want to be extremely careful because I'm so fertile right now. Thank you.
